PROJECT-BASED LEARNING (PBL):
Project based learning (PBL) is a method of instruction in which students investigate a complex question or problem. This method is integral to my teaching style. Below you will find examples of PBL units we have done at The Colorado STEM Academy.
PBL: Explore ROV | PBL: Marine Mission | PBL: Ocean Animals and Adaptations |

INSTRUCTIONAL UNITS AND STUDENT WORK:
Over the course of my 12 years as an educator, I have created thousands of lesson plans for my students, who have ranged from first through sixth grade. Below is a sampling of some of the lessons and units I have written. I have chosen a variety of lesson types for this portfolio (in addition to the PBL units above), and have chosen a student work sample to highlight as well.
Deer Canyon Deutsch: A German Instructional Unit | Student Work Sample: M is for Mantis Shrimp | Promethean Interactive Whiteboard Lessons |
